Enterhost Peers with AT&T, Grande, Qwest, Savvis and AboveNet
FORT WORTH, Texas – April 10, 2006 – Enterhost, who recently acquired a new 20,000 square foot data center, has peered with AT&T, Grande, Qwest, Savvis and AboveNet to provide its clients with a diversified mix of redundant bandwidth.
The Enterhost Data Center is located in the Burnett Plaza in downtown Fort Worth, Texas which houses a number of telecommunications’ Point of Presence (POP) facilities that service the metropolitan area. This allows Enterhost to take advantage of the abundance of building fiber that exists to support the telecom infrastructure.
In addition to the local bandwidth access available, Grande Communications provides Enterhost with transport service capabilities back to 2323 Bryan in Dallas. This property, also known as the Univision Tower, is the internet hub of the southwest carrying an estimated 20% of the nation’s internet, voice and data traffic. This gives Enterhost access to a premier carrier hotel with over 65 carriers and services providers.
Enterhost maintains a carrier class network designed and built for low latency, high reliability and maximum scalability. The Cisco powered network is entirely built on the Catalyst 6500 and 2960 series platform. The data center is located on the Dallas/Fort Worth metro ring, which is home to a number of the worlds’ largest web hosting providers.
