Enterhost Acquires New 20,000 Sq Ft Texas Datacenter
FORT WORTH, Texas – March 1, 2006 – Enterhost today announced it has acquired a 20,000 square foot, state-of-the-art data center located below street level in downtown Fort Worth. The new Tier-1 data center, located at the Burnett Plaza, has more than $8 million in improvements and is N+1 rated with fully redundant electrical and mechanical systems.
The new data center features include:
- 3 independent power sub-station electrical feeds
- 1.25-megawatt diesel generator
- Redundant PowerWare 9315 UPS systems
- 12 HVAC Airflow units
- Redundant Powerpak Distribution Units
- AC and DC power plants
- VESDA system with dry pipe fire suppression
- Layered physical security including biometric hand scanners
“This acquisition was a perfect fit for us, our company is based here and our existing data center operations are here in downtown Fort Worth,” said Kevin R Valadez, Enterhost President. “Acquiring this property two blocks from our existing network removed the challenge many of our competitors face in managing multiple data centers in different cities or states.”
Enterhost will be relocating its corporate offices to the new data center location. The new property will also house the network operations center, network administration, provisioning and senior support engineers.
